Well I guess I did assign one in the beginning which was yesterday morning!  But for the life of me, I cannot remember what it is.  Is there anything I can do besides re-install and risk the chance of L2 cache errors showing up again?    Oh someone please help...this is my work computer......

Thanks   Michelle

There are companies out there that will sell you a software to reset the password they usually run around $200 but if you don't want to take the chance you have no choice but to re-install Win2K.

If you haven't assigned an administrator password yet, you may be able to login with user name: Administrator and a blank password meaning don't enter a password and login. Once you are loged in change the password to something you can remember easily.

Michelle,

I'm not sure if this will help, but try the link below:

If it's a BIOS password, you'll have to call Dell technical support for that.

Mike.
