How to copy font from pc to laptop

 Hi,

On my desktop (Dell E520) in the Windows XP- Accessories-Tools-Character Map I have a font - Arial Unicode MS. My husbands Inspiron 6000 doesn't have this font in his character map. Can I somehow copy this font to his pc?

He need to use the Center Line symbol unicode #2104. Or does anyone know where else he could get this symbol?

And how come I can paste this symbol into a Word doc but then I can't use the Word doc to copy and paste it into another program? It would be great if I could make a document with all the symbols my husband uses so he could copy and paste them easily from one place.

Could it be because I'm using an old Word program...Word97?

On the computer that has the font, open Windows Explorer, browse to the folder C:\Windows\Fonts, and copy the font you need to some kind of removable media.  (Note that in order to get to this folder, you may need to go to Tools > Folder Options, click on the View tab and make sure that you have "Show contents of System Folders" checked and View Hidden Files selected).

Take the removable media to the computer that needs the font, and go to Start > Control Panel > Fonts.   With the fonts floder displayed, click on File > Install Font then browse the the removable media where you copied the font from the other computer and install that font.
