Format and Reinstall Windows 10 - Dell XPS 13 9343
Hi,
I have a Dell XPS 13 9343 that came with windows 8.1 and I've upgraded to windows 10.
I would like to format it and to do a clean install to windows 10 and after that to create a dual boot with ubuntu.
I don't want to recover anything, just format everything.
My question is:
1. What is the best way of doing it? Is there any preparation needed before formatting (except backup)? If someone can point me to a relevant detailed guide it will be great.
2. Do i need to care that I want to install ubuntu as dual boot when I format and install windows? Or just to install it after windows is already installed?
Thanks.

Windows 10 will recreate all the partitions it needs. If you want to backup your old factory settings use Dell Backup and Recovery to make a Bootable USB:

For more details on formatting vs wiping see here:

Note I would recommend virtualisation of Ubuntu opposed to a dual boot. See here:

From a quick review of that link, it explains how to download windows 10 iso and install it.
Shouldn't I format and recover from some dell partition to windows 8.1 and only then upgrade?
And what about the how to actually format?
