Error message help!
I've been having a problem with the Weather Channel's website. As soon as their homepage comes up, I get a rather lengthy error message. I get a box that says "iexplore" followed by the the following:
"Access violation at address 015E4B88 in module COMCAST~1.DLL Read of address 203AD4C 617CCF65." A message of this type came on my screen at least 300 times in a row in rapid succession, kicked me off The Weather Channel's website, and then kicked me off Internet Explorer. I contacted Comcast.net and they said the message meant that there are a number of corrupted files in Windows. They advised me to contact Dell support. I don't know how to tell which files are corrupt or how to correct the problem. Any ideas, anyone?

sfc /scannow (There is a space before /)
OK
You'll need your XP CD handy. That'll replace any corrupt or missing system files

I have not yet upgraded to Windows XP Pro. I am still running Windows XP Home. Would the Windows XP Pro Upgrade disc solve my problem?

If you have had the machine for more than a few months you should have received this disk
There is a picture of it here. The wine coloured one.
