Email message on login page

Question

I have let my friend use my computer to check her email. On my login page it says that i have X amount of emails unread. if i put the mouse over it, it is her email address. How do I get it back to my personal email address.

Did your friend use Outlook Express and make it collect her mail under your User Account ?   If this is the case, just delete her folders in your Outlook Express.

No, She didnt. However, i did find a great web page that took care of my problem. Here is a few web pages that I did find in a google search of 'Windows XP unread mail' They are about a feature of XP that keeps count of the amount of email you get. 1. http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/emailui.php 2. http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/winxp_unread.htm   Both are great web sites. And the fact that XP has this stupid mail count is beyond me.

Ah yes, I know how to turn it off. :smileyhappy: I thought you were looking for a way to have it show your emails rather than your friends. Never mind, glad that you are happy. :smileyhappy:
