Dell Inspiron N7110 take forever to restore to factory image
Hello everyone.
I just perform a factory image restore for my laptop.
I followed the procedure from dell support
"To restore your computer to the original factory installation, follow these steps:
- Turn on the computer, after the Dell logo press F8 key repeatedly until the
Advanced Boot Options menu (Advanced Startup Options). - In Advanced Boot Options, highlight Repair Your Computer and press Enter.
- Click Next and logon to the administrator account in the computer.
- Click Dell DataSafe Restore and Emergency Backup and DataSafe Options.
- Choose Restore without preserving new or changed file. Click Next to continue.
- Choose Yes and click Next to continue.
- Progress status will appear. Click Restart to initiate the restoration process."
and I perform this reinstalling since 9PM until 9AM till today. How long will my reinstalling complete?
This reinstalling on my laptop show 56% has complete. I wonder if it froze?

Hi BACCARAT9,
Disconnect all the external devices from the computer.
You may restart the process of factory reset.
Refer the following link which has steps to do a factory reset (Windows 7):

***Note: Backup data before performing factory reset.
Let me know how it goes.

Hello Mr.Rajesh, thank you for the reply, I tried the factory image and followed the instruction above but there was an error that said it can not perform the factory image restore.
I was impatient so I try DBAN to erase my HDD and reinstalled windows 7 OS home premium.
After the installation was complete I install dell driver and utility by inserting the discs that came with my laptop so that i can install all my driver and application.
Can you tell me the order of driver or application to install, so that I can install all the driver and utility.
thank you Mr.Rajesh

Hi BACCARAT9,
I regret for the delay in response.
Part number is a unique code so it differs from part to another part.
Inspiron N7110 was shipped with the hard drive capacity of 320GB, 500GB and 750GB.
You can replace the hard drive with any one of them.
Kindly let me know the hard drive you want to purchase or replace so that I can provide you the part number.
Please reply for further questions.
