Cannot insert files into my internet email account from c drive

Question

When trying to insert files from my c drive into my work email account which I access via the internet, I receive the following message:   The folder c:/*.* isn't accessible.  The folder may be located in a nunavailable location, password protected, or the file name contains a / or \.   When trying to copy the files from c: it says   You don't have appropriate permission to perform the operation.   Any advice?

You need to provide more detail. Is this an Exchange-based account that you accessing remotely through something like a Citrix server? If that's the case, then the answer is, No, you cannot attach files for this type of account. If it's something else, please elaborate.

No, you cannot tie your home Outlook account to a remote Exchange server. I access my work e-mail the same way. As far as I know, you cannot attach files when you're accessng through remote access, unless the computer is accessing the server directly.

You might want to put this issue to your "help desk".

I think it is an issue with my home lap top, not my work server.  It appears that there is some security block not permitting me into by hard drive from my work email account.  It works fine on my other Dell.  I will try my help desk.  Thanks anyway.  aaamythreegirls

I am accessing my Microsoft Outlook work email account for through Citrex (metaframe).  I have no problem  doing this on my older Latitude laptop.  Is it a security issue?  Is there any to link this outlook account to my desktop outlook?  Thanks. aaamythreegirls
