Adobe Reader download problems
I recently purchsed an Inspiron 1720 with Windows Vista. Whenever I attempt to download the free Adobe Reader 8.1 the downloading appears to be taking place, takes six minutes, starts again, takes another six minutes, then states it is downloading and freezes at 58%. The only message is that Windows Outlook is not responding. I have tried six times now with exactly the same result. I have never had the problem before using XP or Me. Anyone know what is happening?

Sam at Ford, try downloading Adobe Reader late at night or from an alternative site. See this: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=333218&sliceId=2

Thank you Lawrence for your advice. Your directions led me to understand that I had an insecure internet connection. I took it to work and was able to download from there. Microsoft and adobe provide some advice on this matter, which you directed me to: I am not alone!
Thanks once again
