About VxRail Appliance join existing external vCenter server
Hi all,
I can locate the VxRail 3.5 new features " A VxRail Appliance can join an existing external vCenter server. ",
at VxRail Manager 3.5 release note (https://support.emc.com/docu70688_VxRail-Appliance-3.5-Release-Notes.pdf?language=en_US).
I checked the VxRail 3.5 product guide and other documents,
but I cann't find the procedure and detailed information.
Dose anyone know detailed information of VxRail join external vCenter ?

Selection to use external vCenter must be done at time of initial deployment.
See the Release Notes, pg 12, for additional considerations. https://support.emc.com/docu70688_VxRail-Appliance-3.5-Release-Notes.pdf?language=en_US

Hi PBradz,
Thank you for your information. I understand.
If I can initialize the VxRail version 3.5, I also want to try soon...

And I want to know more information,
Dose anyone know the limitation of VxRail join external vCenter ?
For example,
limitation of existing vCenter version, Windows vCenter or vCSA, vCenter configration, PSC configration...
And could we set the exsisting VxRail vCenter information as extarnal vCenter.

Hi Bill_Leslie,
Thanks! I overlooked it.
I was able to understand the specification and limitasion.
----
- Physical or virtual
- Windows or VCSA
- Embedded, or non-embedded deployed with an external PSC
- The external vCenter server must be VMware VCSA 6.0 Update 2 or later.
- Your VxRail Appliance cannot join an external vCenter server on another VxRail Appliance cluster. The vCenter server on one VxRail Appliance cluster cannot be used to manage other VxRail Appliance clusters.
- Separate admin accounts are required on the external vCenter server for each VxRail Appliance cluster.
