“VCF 4.2 on VxRail Administration” course now available!

Quick Overview:

The instructor lead VCF 4.2 on VxRail Administration course (Id ESCPXS02410) is now available. This two-day course is about half lecture and half hands-on labs. The course maps to VCF 4.2 on VxRail 7.0.131. Each student gets their own VCF on VxRail instance using a Standard architecture (as opposed to a Consolidated architecture).

Needlessly Longwinded Description:

This course provides an overview of VCF on VxRail. The course focuses on VxRail integration into VCF, the unique features this solution provides, and how these components come together when performing typical administrative tasks. Unsurprisingly, SolVe (Better call SolVe) plays a role VCF on VxRail procedures, but in a VCF on VxRail environment there is a significant role for the VMware Cloud Foundation on Dell EMC VxRail Administration Guide as well. Its recommended students be versed in both VxRail and VCF concepts prior to attending training. This course assumes the student already has a reasonable understanding of VxRail. Below are the recommended courses to take in advance of a VCF 4.2 on VxRail Administration class:

  1. The instructor lead VxRail Administration Course Id: ES124CPX00078 or the on-demand version VxRail 7.0.XXX Administration Course Id: ESCPXD03296
  2. VCF on VxRail Concepts: Course Id: ES502CPX01601
  3. VMware Cloud Foundation Fundamentals (A VMware Course)

Needlessly Longwinded Backstory:

In March of 2020, we had an hourlong VCF 3.9.0 on VxRail Concepts on-demand course available, but customers were asking for an additional course that covered VCF on VxRail in more depth, was instructor lead, and had hands-on labs. It took a few months, but we cobbled together a 2-day course that covered VCF 3.9.1 on VxRail 4.7.410. Months later that course was updated to cover VCF 4.1 on VxRail 7.0.100. Finally, that lead us to the open enrollment offering that is the VCF 4.2 on VxRail 7.0.131 we have today!
