where do i find vplex documentation pdfs?

I know the VPLEX documentation PDFs must be around here somewhere, but I cannot find them.  I specifically would like the REST API doc for the 5.5 version of VPLEX.

There is so much good information here in the form of white papers and so forth, but there really should be a HUGE and obvious link to the official product documentation.  It's not just this product, I can't find documentation for any EMC products unless I get lucky with Google on the public internet and find PDFs hidden on some eastern European IT services company WordPress blog.

I'm sure it must be user error on my part, but seriously, why is this so hard?

Thanks for any help!

That is hugely helpful, thanks Brett.  I found exactly the PDF I needed.

Still would be cool if there were some place where it could all be laid out in an organized fashion, but I guess this is the way we're supposed to find things...

Thanks for the feedback Nathan.

Let me send this to the appropriate team and see what can be done about it.

Thanks,

Google is OK, many times it finds the exact EMC end user doc at the top of its results list, but other times it directs you to non-EMC doc aggregation sites (use caution).

A better way to find EMC Product end-user documentation is to

  1. Go to https://support.emc.com/
  2. Select "Support by Product"
  3. In the Find a Product by Name -> Lookup a Product Name dialog box, type the product name in which you are interested (e.g. VPLEX).  It will auto-populate a drop down list of selections (e.g. VPLEX series, VPLEX VS1, VPLEX VS2) for further filtering.  Select the relevant one and press Enter or click the >> arrows to engage the search.
  4. The results page is organized such that you can choose Documentation, or Whitepapers, KB articles, etc.

Of course for a very specific document, you can just put enough title keywords into the initial search, and it should return a list of results with the doc you seek near the top.

Hope this helps
