VPLEX Witness Deployment within VMware vCloud Air

As many of you know, VPLEX Metro requires VPLEX Witness in order to deliver continuous availability across data centers.  EMC install base data for VPLEX Metro indicates many of these deployments do not have VPLEX Witness enabled.  A deeper look into this situation found that in the majority of these cases that a 3rd site (fault domain) was not available for VPLEX Witness.  As public cloud providers are becoming more common, an increasingly popular solution is to leverage public cloud virtual data centers to provide the 3rd fault domain for VPLEX Witness.  A new whitepaper, EMC VPLEX Witness Deployment within VMware vCloud Air, outlines an example deployment of VPLEX Witness using VMware vCloud Air.
