Convert VPLEX Geo to Local
Can VPLEX Geo be converted to VPLEX Local? What is the process? The VPLEX's were configured as Geo but none of that functionality is being used.

Can VPLEX Geo be converted to VPLEX Local? What is the process? The VPLEX's were configured as Geo but none of that functionality is being used.

i know Metro to Local is possible but not sure if Geo to Local is, will check on this, but can you elaborate like what's the reason to do this change and also if they existing VPlex is in production..

VPLEX GeoSynchrony 5.5 does not support VPLEX Geo and the location is being shutdown where one of the clusters is located. The other location that is in a Geo relationship with the location that is being shutdown is production.

This is likely a disruptive event. Last time I checked this was not possible without support/engineering assistance to convert from anything other than Local to Metro/Geo. I would open a support ticket with EMC to find out the specifics and have them prep you on the impact of making the conversion.
