DigitalPersona not recognizing Fingerprint Sensor
I have a Vostro 3450, with Windows 7 (x64) installed.
On Device Manager, the Fingerprint Sensor is identified correctly, with no errors whatsoever.
But when opening DigitalPersona (4.01), the program doesn't identifies the FP Sensor.
I already tried with the Synaptics Drivers, nothing. With Validity Drivers, nothing again. Installing another version of DigitalPersona, nothing.
As seen here ( ), the Sensor is identified in Device Manager (with either Synaptics or Validity drivers)...
However...
(Translating: "The Fingerprint Reader isn't connected. Connect the reader")
As seen here ( ), DigitalPersona doesn't recognizes it.
I already tried installing and reinstalling drivers and programs from other Dell Forums. Nothing worked.
Help. Please.

Make sure this driver is installed.

Check the BIOS to see if there is an option to enable a Finger Print Sensor???

Hi @U2CAMEB4ME, thanks for helping me out, and sorry for the late response.
Validity Sensors DDK is already here. Still, the same problem...
Oh, and the Fingerprint Sensor is enabled in the BIOS Menu (F2 on startup)
Can you send me an updated version of DigitalPersona? The ones I've picked up didn't install (because it isn't an HP Notebook) or they are too old, like v4.x
Hope you can help me on this one.

(Translating: "The Update Patch cannot be installed by Windows Installer because the program to be updated is not installed or the Update Patch could have installed a different version of the program. Check if the program to be updated is installed in your PC, and make sure that you have the right Update Patch")
Resuming: It can't be installed right now, because it needs another program to be installed (???)
Sorry if you didn't understand it quite well... As said, I'm Brazillian , and my English isn't perfect -_-

Hi, again...
I forgot to mention one thing that I've discovered today...
That DigitalPersona Fingerprint Reader, v.v4.02.3769, A15_x64 """https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/04/drivers/driversdetails?driverid=r260116""", isn't compatible with the Vostro 3450:
I hope I'll find another solution...
If anyone had the same problem, and got a solution... PLEASE SHARE IT!!!1!
