Vostro 3650, reseller, incorrect warranty date

Hi, I'm based in Malaysia.

On Dec 2016 I bought 2 Vostro PCs, and today 1 of it died. Bought at a reseller here locally.

Upon checking it says the warranty is over on May 2016. How do I got about this please?

I tried registering online but it says invalid, and asks to do ownership transfer instead. Already did that, what's next?

Have you tried calling Dell customer service as they usually handle warranty issues I believe.

First of all could you post the exact model number of the system that is having problems? Also did you purchase an extended warranty as the Dell warranty on PCs is 1 year? Did the reseller offer a longer warranty in which case the reseller will be responsible for repairs.

Hi it's a Vostro 3650 with 3-years NBD on-site warranty.


How do I register it and have the warranty expiry date updated?
