3910 Vostro Desktop - Upgraded graphics card does not fit in case! Help please

I bought a standard Vostro 3910 desktop a while back with 180w psu, 8gb ram and onboard Intel graphics, intending to upgrade in the future.

Well the future came and I started by trying to find the 300W psu T7X04. I spent months talking to Dell to no avail until one day a helpful Dell employee said he would help. 3 weeks later the psu arrived. Yay!

So, next I upgraded the ram, no probs.

Then I started searching for a graphics card, and I am hoping someone in the community will have some advice here. Having searched for 7MKYT Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super as advised by Dell, I could not find it (except for a used item from US with huge postal cost and no doubt customs on top - I'm in UK). In one of my convos with Dell, I was told that other manufacturers cards would fit so I purchased an MSI version.

So here's the problem - the MSI card was way too big for the case; it was really tight to put in the slot and when the power plug was inserted there was no way to replace the cover. I've returned the card but am now wondering which other manufacturers' card might fit?

Any ideas folks, please? Anybody successfully installed another aftermarket GeForce GTX 1660 super?

See if you can Google a low profile version.  It might not be true low profile considering it's a 1660 SUPER, but should at least be skinnier.  Be sure to also Google dimensions and compare with the space you have.

About the only other thing to do with it is cut away at the 3910 lid with a Dremel.

I looked at Dell's recommended cards and was a bit surprised to see the 1660 SUPER on there since it doesn't fit.  May be it can only be the Nvidia version?

I also tried looking for a video on the subject and had no luck.

If still no luck, try the "Get Help Now" button on the lower-right and make them try again.

Besides Dell OEM card, variant of HP, Acer OEM cards have the same dimension.  Check out the PNY GTX 1660 XLR8 and the Palit StormX version.

So the type of card you are looking for is called the “ITX” variant. You are not looking for “Low Profile or “ATX” standardization.

The 2 brand cards you want being in Europe is either the PNY ITX form factor. Or the Palit ITX form factor.

If you cannot find either of those. Nvidi/Gigabyte now makes the RTX 4060 in Low Profile and ITX factor. The RTX4060 is on par with the same or close to the same power requirements as the 1660super, with roughly 30% higher frame rate and textures.
