i see nas_disk -l
like this
so now nas_disk -delete d48 -perm -unbind?
unmap the lun from ~filestorage storage group and delete the lun from storage pool and delete the storage pool ?

If you have created any tree quota or share you need to first delete the Share and then the tree quota. Once that is done you can delete the File System Created on the NAS pool. Using the nas_disk -list you can now see that the none of the disk except for the control luns will be in USE. you see a (n) under use column. Now you can delete the disk using the nas_disk command. Once deleted you can now delete the luns which were created under your Storage Pool/storage group.
1) Delete Share
2) Delete Quota/Folder
3) Delete File System
4) Using nas_disk command delete the unused disk ( Be careful and verify which are those disk which are part of 3TB)
5) Delete the Luns created under Storage pool/Disk Group from Unisphere.

Hi,
You may refer below article for deleting LUN and Storage Pool from VNX File.
How to safely remove VNX BLOCK /CLARiiON LUNs from a VNX FILE / Celerra - A detailed review
This article has a link for VNX demo which would be helpful.
Thanks

do not use the unbind option. nas_disk -delete d48 -perm and then remove the lun from the storage group ~filestorage and then delete the Lun, delete the storage pool.

I never used that option myself and when I looked up in the guide and this is what the option says
"The -unbind option removes the LUN from the VNX Storage group (if EMC Access Logix™ is enabled). The -unbind option permanently destroys the LUN and its contents. If this is the last LUN using a RAID group, then the RAID group will be deleted"
To be on a safer side i would like to do this manually, that was the only reason.
Regards
Anand.

ok, nothing wrong with that
but i can tell you that as long as disk is listed as "n" in InUse column it is safe to use -perm -delete -unbind
