Error.JPG

I received this error on the VNX 5300. On the Hardware summary page I see a "Red "F" next to the Bus 0 Enclosure 0. But when I expand all the trees under Disk and Power Supplies, SP's, and Standby Power Supplies, it doesnt show any errors or anyting?

How can I determine what they problem is\was?

Thanks!

Hi Vipin,

I just noticed it today, although it happened on July 25th. There has been no activity on the box like upgrades or anything. yes, there is an amber light on the system, physical view.

When was this issue noticed ?

Was there any activity like upgrade done on this box recently ?

Is there any amber on the system (physical view )  ?

Assuming all is cabled up properly as it is a new issue, you could reboot the SP's one at a time to see if it clears up the issue.

I checked all disks in the EMC Unisphere under hardware components and all disks seem fine. However, here is a photo where the amber light is.

you can't ssh into this. Install navi cli

Navisphere CLI (Windows  - all supported 32 & 64-bit versions) 7.32.0.5.54

and then run this command:

NaviSeccli.exe -user sysadmin -password sysadmin -scope 0 -address faults -list

I installed it but nothing in the program menu, no desktop short cut. When I go to C:\Program Files (x86)\EMC\Navisphere CLI and run the NaviSECCli.exe a cmd windows opens and closes quickly.....ahh

I cant even ssh into the IP address of the management IP (connection abort), although it is pingable. maybe the management service needs to be restarted? how can I do that? This wont cause any production problems will it?

Open a command prompt, navigate to the install directory and run the command.

yes, I've tried that already quite a few times, also uninstalled and re-installed. how do you get it to work on your client?
