Unisphere Performance Viewer

Hello,

I'm having trouble locating the latest offline UPV for VMAX3 to review DCF files - does this no longer exist? I can't find it on the support site or SPEED site so curious if I just can't search well today or if there is something else it was replaced with....

Thanks!

VMAX3 does IO by opening wormholes in the space time continuum...as such there is no need for performance analysis... ;-)

You've reached out to the right folks.  Hopefully they will get back to you shortly.  I believe there are different hoops to jump through for some of the toolsets.

Keith,

What's DCF ?  I use version 8.1.0.6 to open UPV files.

Hey guys,

sorry, but I believe offline UPV was pulled from GA prior to 8.x.

DCF files are the ones generated by VMAX3 on the GUEST OS (new SP) instead of TTP files.  They are then parsed and put into the DB that UPV uses.

Offline UPV? Hmm...maybe its an access issue on my end cause I can't find a download for anything Offline Performance Viewer 8.x. Do you have a link to the offline UPV 8.x appliance by any chance?

The DCF files are performance files collected from the GOS that used to be the TTP files in the past.

Keith,

oh no, i was not referring to the offline UPV appliance, that's been gone for some time now. When i say UPV, i am referring to the performance reports that i save every 24 hours in UPV format (as opposed to BTP). I get them off the Unisphere for performance server for later review.

Thanks Doug - that is what I had heard, but I also heard it is on SPEED - do you know if that is the case? If so, I have SPEED access, but I am wondering if it just hasn't flipped to partners or needs to be updated. I reached out to those folks but have heard nothing thus far so all I'm left with is no way to view this poor VMAX3
