ESI architecture questions for Solutions Integrator and SCVMM, Powershell
I'm trying to wrap my head around this new product and determine if it's a fit for our environment.
Does anyone know the following regarding ESI for Windows Suite?:
1. Can SMI-S, ESI Service, SCOM server instance and agent all be installed on the same VM? What are the separation rules?
2. Can I do provisioning of any storage type w/o the use of SCO? Our lab does not leverage Orchestrator but rather, another product.
3. Does automated provisioning part (appears to rely on SCO Runbooks) only apply to the VM environment and can I leverage the Powershell cmdlets outside of that for standard VMAX provisioning (but via Powershell?)
Appreciated!
