Would it work and safe to have "Adblock Plus" Plug-In?

This plug-in called AdBlock Plus is claiming that it will block any pop up ads in any web page including Facebook ect.

I would like to know if it is capable of blocking these annoying pop ups one encounter in certain web pages such as on line news papers.

Does anybody in here heard about this?

Regards

Snow,

Ad-Block Plus is a legitimate and safe add-on (plug-in) for browsers.   Try it for yourself, see if you're happy with it... if not, you can always disable or uninstall it.

Some notes:

1) You have to install it separately for each browser in which you want it to work.   These can be downloaded from https://adblockplus.org/

2) After installed, you can RIGHT-click on the icon [in your browser], select SETTINGS, to be sure it's set for the best language for you.    Apparently, different language settings can block different ads.

3) There is also a box which you can (optionally) check to "Allow some non-intrusive advertising".   Checking this box should allow some ads through... UNchecking the box should (theoretically) stop ALL ads.

Make sure that the Ad-Block is legitimate. I often use it to stop some annoying pop-up ads when I surf on the Internet. It is a nice and safe application.
