Edge 111 adds Bing/Discover button to menu bar
Today when Microsoft released Edge 111 version to public, people were surprised to see a large “Bing” button added to the main toolbar of the web browser. This new purple colored button displays the official Bing logo inside a chat bubble icon.
I have successfully used METHOD 2: Remove Bing Button Using Registry Editor Policy via the
Ready-Made Registry Script to Automatically Remove Bing Toolbar Button
as per the following article:
Disable or Remove Bing Chat Button or Icon from Microsoft Edge Toolbar – AskVG

Ky, I see you beat me to the solution. Frankly, I resent this foistware from MS. Especially as it comes with no way to hide or disable Bing. One should not have to meddle with the registry to remove a toolbar add on.
I sed your suggested method to execute "BaDa Bing".

Paul Thurott has tentative good news:
"The good news is that Microsoft will allow users to disable this Bing button in a future release of the browser, and I won’t pretend to be surprised that it rushed out this feature without finishing it first. (It will be part of a switch that lets you disable “Discover,” which is the interface the Bing button displays. But that won’t happen until Edge 113 in May. Two months from now."
