Annoying Error Messages
The management of the apartment complex was kind enough to have us all wired up for Direct TV. Being new to the service I have been browsing their web site and help pages. Every single page I go to I get this alert that some content has been blocked because of "security certificate errors".
Is their some way I can turn this little alert banners off. I am sure their site is secure and safe to browse

For some reason the above post was flagged and had to be approved. :emotion-40:
But any ideas about how to turn off those pesky banners is appreciated.

You probably need to contact DirecTV. It sounds like their security certificate has either expired or has an error in it. There's really nothing you can do at your end.
Read me.

Looking more closely at the message it says "Internet Explorer blocked this website from displaying content with security certificate errors." The page comes up and is accessible, but this error message is always shows up at the bottom of the page with the option to "Show Content" This happens on other websites known to be safe.
I thought there should be a way to give the user the option of opting out of these alerts. Endless alerts is the main reason I turned off the User Account Control when I first started to use this computer.

Microsoft is alerting you about the certificate for your own protection. If the certificate is invalid, it's possible the site has been hijacked and what you're viewing isn't really from DirecTV or somebody hacked the site to insert malware...
Contact DirecTV and see what they have to say. Better to let them fix it rather than risk your own system's security...
