Problem with ViPR SRM email alert settings
Good day,
I'm trying to configure sending vipr srm alerts via email but cant seem to have it working. Already put it the SMTP server IP in the global settings and I'm able to send reports to my email but I keep getting sending email to the following server error when I click on test action under Alert definitions --> Alert consolidation email notification.
Can somebody help me on how to correct this?
Thank you

Hi Zerocoolit,
What's the full error message that you get ?
Do you see any errors in the the catalina logs ((frontend host) Web-Servers/Tomcat/Default/logs/)?

Thanks Isaka,
Tried looking at the catalina log when Im trying to send a test email, no new message is coming up.
Im attaching the screencapture of my screen to include the error message.
Quite new on using ViPR SRM, still havent figured most of capabilities yet

Hi Zerocoolit,
Alerts email alerts are sent by the primary backend; have you taken a look at kb# 492000

Hello Zerocoolit
On your SMTP settings have you enabled any kind of authentication? If so can you try with no authentication.
