How to configure VIPR to create filesystems in User access zone
VIPR creates filesystems in defaukt /ifs/vipr directory. How to create them in a custom directory?

Hi Sudheer,
This can be achieved by having the project name same as the access zone name. You will need to create projects and map all access zones(vNAS) to their matching project names and then you will need to go to "Physical -> Controller Config -> Isilon -> File System Directory Path" and then set the value to " {isilon_cluster_name}/{project_name}". The value you set has very limited variables. you will need to choose the correct variables to match the path in isilon. Unfortunately there is no customer variable under this. so, the options are limited.
Hope this helps.
Fyi... Future release of ViPR Controller will not have any enhancements for File or Object. But will continue to support existing customers. This is a very very bad decision unless they are working on an alternative.
Thanks,
Sathya

I don't think you can change the default "/ifs" part of the directory, but you may be able to change the "vipr" portion.
Go to Physical -> Controller Config -> Isilon and then select "System Access Zone directory" from the pulldown and you can add a value with a diff dir name than "vipr".
If you want to ingest an existing (non /ifs directory) you can Go to Physical -> Controller Config -> Isilon and then select "Unmanged File System Location"
I hope this helps!

Sathyaa and Jay..thank your for your response.
Apart from assigning Access zones to Projects, controller config settings should be modified to use User access zone directory structure:
Under NAS: Use Physical NAS for Provisioning = False for Isilon
