Hi Dave,
It's simply a RecoverPoint Appliance (RPA) in the cluster. You can acquire the info in a number of different ways but the more obvious ways are through Unisphere for RP or via specific CLI commands like get_system_settings.

I believe it should refer to the inidividual RPA's in a Recover Point cluster.
If you login to Unisphere for Recover Point you can get details of each node (RPA's) under RPA Clusters.
RecoverPoint appliances can be discovered in ViPR SRM with the same credentials and FQDN or IP Address used to login to Unisphere for Recoverpoint.
