EHI automatic reboot
I have testing installing the EHI agent on 2 different Windows systems. On both, they rebooted immediately after installation was done without any kind of prompting or warning. That is unacceptable in an enterprise environment. I didn't even see any warning about this happening in any of the documentation. Please resolve this behaviour.

Hey AaronNortonKCP:
Please make sure you are at the appropriate EHI verson, based on what version of SRM you are at.
Please also take a look at the following KB:
517991 : ViPR SRM: Windows servers are restarting after upgrading the EMC Host Interface (EHI) agents https://support.emc.com/kb/517991
Thanks

I am installing version 1.4.1.0.294.
That KB article shows an example using the /norestart switch from the command line. Is that what is necessary to install this piece of software without it rebooting? This is the first I have seen that switch documented or mentioned anywhere.

Hey AaronNortonKCP:
It looks like you need to stop the agent before uninstalling.
You can also look at:

Thanks

I was not doing an upgrade and I was installing the latest available version. This was a brand new install of the latest version and it immediately rebooted the system without asking. We have tested this on a few machines and all did exactly the same thing.

At this point your best bet would be to open a service request. Someone from support can look into this
Thanks
