fast delete directory tree
A question re efficiently deleting a directory tree
Deleting a large directory tree from
- a windows client
- a unix client
will work, but its slow and inefficient ( creating a large amount of network traffic as it recursively deletes files )
is there a similar environment of a CX{x} or VG{x} of being able to delete the directory tree locally to the array so avoiding the network round trip, and if that exists, is there a date/time command to get a feel for difference in speed of operations.

Hi,
I do not see a way to do it directly. https://dell.to/3khsNPY
Those are all of the commands, I didn’t see anything for file or directory level deletes.

thanks for looking.
It was no surprise as I suspect the older workaround was seen as a security hole.
