Failed to get a license for UnityVSA Community Edition
Hi team,
I am trying to get a license for the Community Edition at:
https://www.dellemc.com/en-us/auth/elmeval.htm
After providing a valid UUID I keep getting the following popup:
Requested page is currently not available. Please try after some time.
Please do not redirect me to the phone support as I am not (yet) a Dell customer.

Hello tw32863,
We are working to fix the site so that customer can get the license keys. Currently waiting on an eta for the site to be fixed which at the time of this posting I don’t have a current eta.

I noticed the license page is still under maintenance.
Any chance you could provide me a temporary license for my installation? I'm evaluating storage appliances and love to include the Unity VSA.

The license page is still under maintenance, today.

Hi,
No, I think the problem is still there.
In fact, there is a problem with the authorization file currently generated. It cannot be import to UnityVSA.
Is your license file usable?

It should generate an xml file now which can be used with 5.3.

the license provided is in XML format, but during installation it's looking for LIC extension. How do I obtain a license for community edition?

Good morning.
I am installing UnityVSA-5.1.0.0.5.394.ova on an ESXi server.
I am already in the licensing stage and I have registered with DELL to download the license with the UUID that the process gives me.
The license file I get is an .xml file, but the licensing process requires a .lic file.
How do I get the .lic file?
I look forward to your comments.

Hi,
Thanks for your question.
If you use 5.3 it can accept the xml file. If you need to use 5.1 you will have to call phone support to get a 5.1 .lic file.
