From the support.emc.com site, there is a tool called "Solve" - just go to the support site and do a search for Solve . You can run this tool to generate a procedure for performing a number of tasks, like adding a new DAE or adding/replacing a Disk (you can also use the Unisphere Service Manager - USM).
The system will automatically discover the new DAE once it's correctable cabled and powered on.

solveonline.emc.com is great if you don't want to have a local desktop app that often needs updating.
