Venue 8 Pro 64 GB Updated to Windows 10 Freezes at Lockscreen

My 64 GB Venue 8 Pro has been updated to the latest version of Windows 10 build 10856 version 1511. When I attempt to boot it, the boot freezes at the lockscreen, the screen you get prior to login. Addionally, the lockscreen is in Portrait mode, even though the tablet is placed in Landscape.

I cannot login to the tablet, and as it is, it is only good as a paperweight. Any ideas on how this can be repaired?

I love the tablet and use it all the time. Please help.

DanielNTX,

I thought about your answer and realizing that I have Team Player on the Tablet, I decided to try to connect with the tablet remotely. I was able to connect and a simple mouse click got me to the login page. Apparently, the 5830 Chipset Driver_67YC3_WIN32_603.9600.2067.27988.A00.EXE had, in some way, stopped working properly. Thankfully, I had saved a copy of this driver and reinstalled it, and now the tablet works just fine.

While this wasn't the way you suggested, I do believe that using the OTG cable and a usb hub, I may have been able to connect a mouse and keyboard to the tablet and have solved it that way.

Thanks for your suggestion. Problem solved.

I bet it's not frozen but missing the appropriate drivers.  If you use a USB OTG cable you should be able to login using a USB keyboard.

Yes, I have an OTG cable, but that is not going to get me to the login page. It is frozen on the lockscreen which comes up prior to the login page. I've got a beautiful picture, an accurate digital clock, and a wi-fi icon.

Thanks for the reply, but I'm still dead in the water here.
