Venue 10 7040, Wifi problem
My brand new android tablet, venue 10 7040, has wifi problem. It hardly catching wifi signal and sometimes disconnection happens while not even in suspended or sleep mode but using it. I found it is almost impossible to discover signal from any access point when it is behind a wall or a door, and only possible to connect internet when it positioned near at an access point with no barrier. Even though it has been connected, antenna guage stays in very low position, and sometimes it is disconnected and could not reconnect for a while..
any solution or tries will be welcomed.

That makes two of us. Called tech spt today and they immediately told me to call cust service and request a replacement. On the initial setup I had to stand right next to my access point.

I just did the same but I have a location problem. Currently I'm not in US and cannot request warranty service as they don't sell the particular tablet PC in here. I have to firstly send it to some one in US and ask him to act on behalf of me.

Issue has been fixed by service depot though there were some extra costs and inconveniences for shipping oversea. I had to dispatch the defective item to my friend living in US because local (Korea) service does not provide any service for this particular model and the service depot does not accept any returning item but sending collection box instead to US address.
Anyway, it's now working perfectly.
