PowerEdge R210-ONE 11G server upgrade

Hi all,

I have two ubuntu R210 wanted to upgrade to windows, the problem is the server have not been upgrade with any firmware for a decade, also it does not have upgrading platform tab inside the LC/USC pane. I have tried various ways like creating repository ISO with DRM 1.4/1.6/2.0/2.2/3.3 (there is no available catalog for R210) and Support Live Image (diagnosis) to savage the server but still no luck. My intention is very simple,

1. Upgrade the server with the latest Firmwares (includes LC/USC and BIOS).

2. Boot up the server using USB (All setup.exe wont run no matter F10 or F11 with NTFS file system).

3. Install OS (Windows Server 2012R2 STD)

I just hope if there is any kind souls could help me on this?

Thank You Guys

Hello,

With this being an 11th generation server and our repository no longer hosting its firmware, I would instead install Windows first. This would let you run the .exe firmware update packages from within Windows. You would likely want to begin updates with the LCC or USC.

Thanks for the reply Dylan,

I wish I could, the uefi just won't run with ntfs file system, I can't burn Windows iso with fat32.

Resolved, bootup with diagnostic tools and update the bios. The BIOS/UEFI is able to read NTFS.
