Dell Server Management Pack support with SCOM 2012 R2 with TLS 1.2

Question

Hi All,

We are planning to implement security protocol TLS 1.2 in our SCOM 2012 R2 environment. But before that we are checking if the Management Packs which are running on SCOM 2012 R2 will run fine after TLS 1.2 implementation. As part of this we would like to know will the Dell Server Management Pack version 6.3 run fine after this implementation or will there be any monitoring or communication failures.

Sreejeet,

You shouldn't see an issues as long as the iDrac for the system you're using supports TLS 1.2, as well as the iDrac being up to date on firmware. If it is up to date then 1.2 should be enabled by default, if the firmware is behind then you may need to enable TLS 1.2 support.
