Symclone Query

Hi Guys,

In a VMAX 20K, we are running Symclones which are striped meta volumes. Now I have to increase the size of the primary device.

I am aware of the procedure to expand a striped meta; however I would like to know if I can just split the pair file and proceed or if I need to terminate the connection. Because my understanding is, if I split it I can re-create the link and start from where we left off. But if we terminate and then create and activate, the sync starts from 0. I am also aware of the -differential method but I would like some insight into this please.
