Controller RAID for Vostro 270

Hi everyone!

I have a VOSTRO 270 with 2X 1TB SSD (Samsung 870 QVO).

On this machine there's an Ubuntu Server instance for local project development.

I've tried to install the SSDs in RAID1, but there's no RAID option into the BIOS. I've found a thread that says to enable it by BIOS, but in mine there's not way to do it.

So I've mounted a RAID controller (via PCI-E) but the motherboard doesn't recognize that.

During the boot, even if the SSDs are correctly connected to the controller, the BIOS return a "no bootable device connected", but recognizes during system runtime (I've tried that booting via usb a live OS ISO).

It seems like it doesn't recognize the raid controller during this step (before POST).

Is there a way to make it working? Maybe mounting an official Dell RAID controller? Or it needs a specific BIOS version to work?

I need to make it working in Ubuntu Server 22.

Thanks in advance!

I see your post hasn't been answered yet.  Did you find an answer?  Even Optiplex's have RAID in BIOS.

This article may help:  How to Configure Intel Based RAID on a Dell Computer

And:  How to Access the RAID Controller Setup in UEFI Configured Computers
