WLAN or USB Ethernet LAN does not work with Bios SupportAssistant OS recovery on Inspiron 15 3511

WLAN or USB Ethernet LAN does not work with Bios SupportAssistant OS recovery on Inspiron 15 3511. I use the integrated wlan or the Dell "StarTech.com USB 3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet NIC Network Adapter". The bios just does not recognize any of those network interfaces however in Windows they work fine. Has anyone been able to get this to work? 

I'm trying to boot into Support Assistant OS recovery through the bios to reinstall the OS. Is much easier than having to buy another sub stick.
