Ok heres the problem...I put in a dvd on windows media and the pic played but no sound i used
other dvd's with the same problem.... what can I do?
Plus when viewing videos on my puter the videos run very slow..its like i have dial up... but I have
dsl....trying to figure out do I need more memory or space?

Hi Patrica,
Although XP is suppose to work with 256MB of memory, you should have at least 512MB, 1GB is best. Also you may have too many programs running in the background, your available memory is only 70MB. However this is the DVD/CD board, lets see if we can solve your DVD issue, if so you should post in the Dimension-General Hardware for the memory/slowness issue.
Since you have Sonic, your DVD issue is more than likely the problem with Cineplayer. Dell-Michael has an Urgent post on this; please click on the following link and try the patch Dell has to offer.
Cineplayer Date bug
If you receive a message that states not related to your version, go ahead and apply yhe patch if it will let you. If not, click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 7-5, article 15 and install one of the free DVD decoder programs, K-lite or VLC.
