Cd-Rom Tray Not Opening
Help, I have a Dimension XPS B933; It's 2 yrs old and expired warranty. My CD-Rom tray will not open; I just started having this problem, I push the eject button and nothing happens; no orange light comes on nor no motor hums and I've also used a straight paper clip in the hole to force it open and nothing happens. Its like this part of the machine has completely frozen. Is this a favorite thing of the dell dimensions after 2yrs and expired warranty? What now?

Hi BigCas,
Click on the CD/RW gif in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1 and Section 11, article 2, see if these Dell`s articles help. Also scan the system with an up-to-date virus protection program.
Consider opening the case and re-seating the IDE cable on the Secondary channel.
