What is needed to get ESA 3.4 plugin for vROPs 6.2 to work with Xtremio?

Installed vROPS 6.2 and ESA Plugin 3.4.   Attempt to configure ESA plugin to communicate with Xtremio entered the followin:

Management IP:  x.x.x.x

Array ID:  Serial # of XIO

Connection Type:  XtremIO

License:  blank

Credentials:  XtremIO credentials

I get this message when I "Test" the connection:

Unable to establish a valid connection to the target system. Wait for response of task 'Test connection' is timed out for collector 'vRealize Operations Manager Collector-vRealize Cluster Node'

Do I need a license?  If so,  where should it be?

Anything else?  Do vROPs FW rules need to be opened?

Thanks,

-Matt

I figured it out.   The XtremIO mgmt IP was changed.   When I put in the correct mgmt IP,  it works

Thanks,

FYI,  I found the ESA for VMware license key.  It still gives me the same error message.

It feels like a vROPs FW issue.   Any ideas?

ESA will complain about a bad license number so I don't think that is your issue.  Be sure however that you have a license for XtremIO - every license is specific to the array and model and if it can't get to the management server, it won't even bother checking the license.  For connection timeouts it certainly is possible your firewall is causing problems.  You want to make sure the XIO management server is up and accessible, and that at least the IP is pingable from the vROps VM.  If all these look good (and assuming you can't just disable your firewall for a test), there is a support page under administration in vROps where you can generate a support bundle.  Open an SR and upload the bundle so support/developers can assist further.
