Looking for a way to identify missing backup clients in Avamar?

I am wondering if anyone may have had to find a way to identify systems that are not being backed up by Avamar. 

In a nutshell I am trying to come up with a way that I can identify systems that were not added into the backups when they were built or for some reason not being backed up.  I have tried the unprotected reports etc but they only identify systems that have “registered” with Avamar not for instance a Virtual system that was built but not added into group or schedule.

I have a lot of special backup requirements so the use of rules to add the systems into the backups would probably become complex and probably counterproductive. I really need a way to identify these systems either from inside Avamar or outside.

Any ideas would be appreciated.
