Error message after installing IP Client 1.3 ?
Hi,
After installing ESRS IP Client 1.3 (No proxy server / No Policy Manager), we get the following error message in the Log Tab of "ESRS IP Configuration Tool":
ConnectEmcInterface: Cannot connect to ConnectEmc at 127.0.0.1, port # 3036
Is there any suggestion ?

Tony; when you install ESRS IP Client (ESRSIP Client for VNX) you run the ESRS Management Utility which management Utility. That said, in regards to your error
There is no impact that error can be ignored that error shows within the installation in the XGatelogs which has no affect on ESRS IP Client and/or Centralized Monitoring . This error is caused by the agent process checking for local ConnectEMC instance on port 3036 (as you can see that it is a loopback address which can be ignored) You may want to check with the Unified VNX team if there is another release or update since this is a product software and is not ESRS. Again this error is be nigh, no impact and can be ignored.

It is under the "Logs" tab of "ESRS IP Configuration Tool".

Hi,
Does it mean that we should not invoke "ESRS Management Utility" if we only install ESRS IP Client ?

EMC Engineer says that the set up is OK three weeks ago.
However, I just get an Email from EMC saying that they don't get any heartbeat since then.
What are the potential problems for not getting heartbeat ? On the other hand, we do receive alert for any SAN related issues.
