Error add new device to ESRS

Hello! I try to add a new device (Dell Unity XT680F) to ESRS VE v3.52.20.08 and get this error: "This device is not available for deployment in SRS WebUI. Please refer to product documentation for SRS deployment information" . Does anyone know if the Unity XT680F is restricted to be added with the GUI console?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Arti_DNO,

I have 6x Unity's added to SCG 5.10.

If I remember correctly, I had to enable the SRS in the Unisphere Web Man GUI.

Also, I found a "hardware compatibility" list where I could check i.e. Centera. Maybe search Dell site for Device Compatibility List

Steps to add new device to ESRS

  • In the ECS Portal, select Settings > ESRS > New Server.
  • On the New ESRS Server page:
  • In the FQDN/IP field, type the ESRS Gateway FQDN or IP address.
  • In the PORT field, type the ESRS Gateway port (9443 by default).
  • In the Username field, type the login username that is used to interface with ECS support. This is the same login username that is used to log in to emc account.
  • In the Password field, type the password set up with the login username.
  • Click Save.
  • Server connectivity may take a few minutes to complete. To monitor the process, click the refresh button. Possible states of transition are Processing, Connected, or Failed.
  • If ESRS is configured with more than one gateway for high availability, repeat steps 1 to 3 to add additional ESRS gateway servers.
