SupportAssists keeps giving me credencial errors on server
At the moment i am trying to finish configure all my physical servers on SupportAssist but i keep getting the same credential errors on my last 2 servers.
This servers have the same authentication has all the other (user and password) but i cant find a way to solve my problem.
The 2 servers have OMSA 9.2.
One is a PowerEdge R515 and the other is a R200
The error is the following:
Last Device Job status - Last refreshed on Apr 17, 2019 5:38:47 PM
SupportAssist Enterprise is unable to add the device xxxxxx because the device type that you selected is incorrect.
Error Code : SA-0135

Hi RJNogueira,
this particular error message does not tell you that the credentials are wrong, you simply selected the wrong device type while discovering.
You should choose Server/Hypervisor to get the systems discovered successfully.
SAE - device drop down list
Let me know if it worked.
Cheers

Hi Stefan
Thanks for your answer, in the SupportAssist Enterprise i have tried to edit the configuration of both physical servers but without any success. Has you can see in the image the device type is grey-out
When i was troubleshooting I found the error code on Dell Page, saying that the code SA-0135 is applied when you have invalid credentials.

Hi RJNogueira,
it's normal behavior, after the discovery you are not able to change the device type. But what I see looks ok for me.
Could you please switch the SupportAssist Logger to debug, run the discovery again and if it fails send me the log file to dellhilftpro.
Here is the How-To:
Maybe we find something in the logs then.
Cheers

Hi RJNogueira,
I received your log file, thanks for that.
I had a first look in it and confirm that you try to discover one Server (R515) and one Storage (MD3200i).
For the Storage you received the wrong device type error message, please ensure that you select PowerVault before discovering this system.
For the PowerEdge it runs in the wrong credential error, could you please check again, that you use the correct credentials, the one from the OS and not the iDRAC.
Let me know if it helps :)
Cheers
Stefan
