Best Practice for SAP to Implement RM and Snapview?
I have a question from our TC in Indonesia related to SAP, could you advice me please?
Our customer (Tudung) has purchased Snapview including RM & also DD.
Then, DD has design / setup for doing "backup" every hour for SAP data only.
In term of snap, is there any best practice from EMC for SAP data, how to implement RM & Snapview ?
Basically Tudung required "fast recover" if there is a failure in their SAP data.
What is the the best scenario design for this request ? Fyi the RPO at least 2 hours.
- Do they need configure Snap every hour for all of DB, CI, log & archive log ?
- Do they need configure Clone & Snap ?
- In which configuration, the SAP data will be guaranteed consistent when it recovered from snap/clone data.
Pls advice which type of data should be snap or which type of data should be clone and how about the schedule of snap/clone for each type of data.
Fyi,
All of SAP data running in VMWare, Windows Server 2008 & Oracle as DB
Thank you kindly.
