Questions on RM Upgrade 5.1.1 to 5.2.1

Question

Want to upgrade RM Server and Agents from 5.1.1 to 5.2.1

Environment:
RM Server - 5.1.1 with SE 6.4.1
RM Agents - 5.1.1 with SE 6.4.x

Do we need to upgrade our Licenses (LAC) when we upgrade
from 5.1.1 to 5.2.1?

I was reading the RM Support Matrix and it shows on page 9...
EMC RM Manager 5.2 supports SE 6.5.2, 6.5.3, 7.0
I am assuming this also holds true for RM 5.2.1?
I know RM is very particular to the type of SE run on the server.

It also shows in the RM Support Matrix on page 9...
RM 5.2 Server supports RM 5.1.x agents
Is this also true for 5.2.1?

If this is the case, I can go ahead and upgrade the RM Server and not have to rush the agent updates because Replication Manager jobs will still function.

I appreciate any insight I can get

Hey, ChrisI upgraded to 5.2.1 recently as well. Our prod hosts are on a DMX-4, so we had to upgrade to SE 7.0.0.4 to be compatible with that code. Running well since the upgrade last month. (the 7.0.0.4 download is in the RM section on Powerlink if you guys end up going that route).

Appreciate the input...I dis call EMC and found out the following...Do not need to upgrade LAC from 5.1 to 5.2The 5.1.x agents are compatible with 5.2.1 RM Server. They do recommend upgrading as soon as you can, however.

What do you mean you had to upgrade SE to 7.0.0.4 to be compatible with your DMX-4? SE 6.5.x.x is compatible with 5772 and 5773 code on the DMX-4.
