Autostart for RedHat AS 4.0and oracle 9i

Because it hav't Autostart oracle module for linux,i intend to use some shell to do somethng for oracle,startup ,shutdown and monitor .
Is anyone have these shell and share to me.

Hi I have created some scripts to monitor the DB state on OS level, and there are some tricks you can use to read the state of the DB, but if you have other alternatives I would recommend using the module. But first of all can you tell me what the OS is and what shell you are using? :)
