Will 2666MT/s memory work with Intel 6242R? Using R640 server.

Question

Looking for some guidance. We installed dual Intel 6242R CPUs with 24 x 32GB DDR4 2666MT/s ECC Registered memory inside our R640 server. The memory is not showing up. The memory is known good memory. I am struggling to figure out why the memory would not be recognized. The only thing I could think is the 6242R CPUs don't accept 2666MT/s speed RAM... but if they accept 2933 then they should accept 2666... but I just don't know.

Any guidance or ideas would be appreciated.

I don't see it in the support matrix, I'm afraid. What we can do is wait around and see if there's anyone who has actually experimented. Hope this helps and have a good one.
