Secure Connect Gateway can't be installed on server
I live in Australia and run a Medical Practice specializing in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
I have had my PowerEdge R730 since 2015. It runs running Server 2012 R2. Since that time Dell Australia has monitored the health of the server and taken action to rectify any hardware problems that arise.
This feature recently stopped working and tech support tried to install V5.0 of Secure Connect Gateway. After weeks of trying they tell me today that it can't be installed on a server running "Windows Domain Controller".
As I only have a single server, that isn't virtualized, it does run "Windows Domain Controller".
In spite of having Pro Support Plus with Mission Critical, the support agents in Australia tells me that they can no longer monitor my server.
I have trouble believing that that is the case.
Can anyone help?

Paediatric Gastro,
In regards to the server, it is correct that you can't install Secure Connect Gateway on a Domain Controller, as seen in the notes here, but you could install SupportAssist and use it for monitoring, but it likely will be removed in the distant future. You can download it here.
Now being US based I am not familiar with the Australian support goup policies. If you would could you private message me the case number and point of contact you were talking to, and the svc tag, and I can see about looking into it for you.

Why on earth would Dell drop support for hardware monitoring on domain controllers?
Many organizations still have physical DC's, and in fact it's best practice to have both physical and virtual.
And moreover, why would the Secure Connect Gateway installer not inform you of this incompatibility when installing on a DC?
Very disappointing decision to drop support on DC's and retire SupportAssist Enterprise.
