R740XD 12X3.5 Nvme
Good everyone,
I have a R740XD with 12x3.5 mid 3.5x4 and rear 4x2.5. I have 2 NVME ssd i want to used so i was wondering if there is a connector or adaptor i can used. I saw an Pcie adaptor that needs an additional SATA input to make it work, could i use the SATA C connector (Optical drive SATA connector) to help power the adaptor. I am open to other options like changing the rare drives slots to make it work.

I am asking if dell dell has a PCIE adaptor that will allow me to connect NVME drives to my server.

Hello,
If you could post an image of the drive showing the drive label with the Dell DP/N number I can check if we have validated it for the R740XD.
I don't see a cable to use the SATA C connector (Optical drive SATA connector) for powering NVME drive.
